“Association of Development of Milk Production” consumers’ cooperative was founded in 2006. The association is non-governmental, non-commercial organization that unites farmers cooperating with “Ashtarak-Kat” CJSC in the field of dairy industry.

During the whole period of its activity “Ashtarak-Kat” CJSC has cooperated with farmers on mutually beneficial

bases, simultaneously realizing programs promoting economic and social independence of farms, their stabilization and strengthening, as well as overcoming the problems in cattle breeding.

The aim of the formation of the association is to transfer the above mentioned process to more systematic basis and to activate participation of farmers in the given sphere.

Courses in Gavar with the support of “BSC” \| 02.07. 2009 With the support of "BSC" Organization the "Association of Milk Production" Consumers Cooperative has organized 2 courses in Gavar in May and June 2009 and the member-farmers of the Association took part in these courses.



"Wageningen International" in Holland \| 02.07. 2009 On May 4-15, 2009 the representative of the "Association of Milk Production' Consumers’ Cooperative took part in the course" (Agriculture in transition: "Analysis, design and management of sustainable farming) organized by the "Wageningen International" in Holland, to which also took part specialists from Africa and 15 countries of Southeastern Asia.



"Association of Milk Production" Consumers’ Cooperative took part in the third yearly conference \| 02.07. 2009 On May 29, 2009 the representative of the "Association of Milk Production" Consumers’ Cooperative took part in the third yearly conference "Development of rural communities in Armenia" organized by the Business center of American University of Armenia.
